Dragged Back to Reality
I took some pants to the dry cleaners and on my way I found a five dollar bill in the pocket. In my mind I immediately thought, "Sweet, free lunch". I took my new found bill to the Pita Pit, which is next to the dry cleaners only to find that a little pita costs seven dollars and I had to charge it to my card. I guess its true, there really is no such thing as a free lunch.

More bad news
I can just see myself taking Lincoln to a parent-teacher conference and having the teacher ask Lincoln, "So is this your grandfather". Even worse is this article I just found. Sheesh!

Misaligned Incentives
Aligning incentives correctly is important in more ways than just sports, but this is a great article about how misaligned incentives are ruining the NBA.

I can't count that high
This is an interesting article about the number of worlds that may exist within our own Milky Way Galaxy. Now multiply that by the number of galaxies in the Universe. Wait, my brain can't think in terms that big.

Ugly Tall Boots
What is the deal with the new fashion trend of girls wearing huge tall ugly boots over their jeans? My gosh, it is horrible! I'm tired of seeing girls walking around like they just stepped out of the Woods of Lothlorien directly into the Gap. I can't think of a fashion trend that has annoyed me more. Stop the madness!

"Mormonism Obsessed with Christ", by Stephen H. Webb
Read the full article here.
"Mocking Mormonism is one of the last frontiers of verbal lawlessness to be untouched by the vigilante powers of political correctness.
After all, what gives Christianity its identity is its commitment to the divinity of Jesus Christ. And on that ground Mormons are more Christian than many mainstream Christians who do not take seriously the astounding claim that Jesus is the Son of God.
Mormonism is obsessed with Christ, and everything that it teaches is meant to awaken, encourage, and expand faith in him. It adds to the plural but coherent portrait of Jesus that emerges from the four gospels in a way, I am convinced, that does not significantly damage or deface that portrait."

Changing the World One Threatening Note at a Time
The other day a threatening note was placed on my scooter. Apparently I had parked it too close to a handicap space. I wasn't in the space. I was just too close to it. I had forgotten about that note until today when I saw this article. I guess there is more than one person in Provo who think they can change the world, one threatening note at a time.
